Our Mission

The mission of The Stosik Foundation (justhelpsomebody.org) is strategically mobilizing financial resources of the large-hearted, time/energy resources of motivated volunteers and spiritual resources of the faithful to just help somebody in physical, emotional or spiritual need by applying these donated resources to strategic projects among the Foundation’s supported charities.

Justhelpsomebody.org is the on-line tool employed by The Stosik Foundation to generate funds for time-sensitive projects among its fold of charity partners doing work among the most vulnerable and under-served in Central Africa, Madhya Pradesh in Central India, Thailand and Cambodia, as well as in the United States. Resources are also cultivated through production of special events and private donations.

Justhelpsomebody.org is designed to open your eyes to living opportunities--to empower you to be large-hearted, share your resources and give.  Love is sometimes what we say—“I love you.” Love is sometimes what we do—“I want to help you.” Love is often what we give—“This is for you.  This is for you.” Check out these living opportunities with your heart.  Empower your heart to just help somebody today!

In your hands these "living opportunities" become changed lives when you choose to apply your resources to the need--when you choose to give.  If you care, step up and share!

"Never be afraid to raise your voice for honesty and truth and compassion against injustice and lying and greed. If people all over the world...would do this, it would change the earth." - William Faulkner

About Us

Our Story

A high-school All-American basketball player from Michigan, Ray parlayed his talent on the court into a college education at Regis University, outreach with Athletes in Action, and an 8-year career in the European Professional Basketball League.  Raised in the housing projects, he combines his concern for the disenfranchised with his sports acumen, providing leadership for charity event production on the PGA Tour and the LPGA Tour under the auspices of 141 Premiere Sports & Entertainment in Honolulu.  He is active with New Hope Christian Fellowship ministries and enjoys playing basketball, golf and traveling with his wife, Sherel, and son, Reid.

Sherel Stosik, Trustee

Sherel applied her TV production expertise to sports and charity event production as TV production executive and GM for Rolfing Productions, Inc. after serving as GM of KGMB-TV (CBS) Hawaii Production Center and on the Lee Enterprises (NYSE: LEE) broadcast group management team.  She currently serves as Senior Vice-President of 141 Premiere Sports & Entertainment in its production of sports and cultural events that generate funds for charity organizations.  Her passion to serve others has included outreach projects with the Waikiki Beach Chaplaincy, New Hope Christian Fellowship, Spirit of Aloha Outreaches, Inc., and The Joshua Fund. She enjoys reading, writing and excursions with her family.

The Stosik Foundation was IRS-designated as a 509(a)(3) public charity on March 10, 2000.  The Stosik Foundation, with the web identity of justhelpsomebody.org, was birthed as a conduit of blessing and provision to works of charity, even as its founders have been blessed and provided for by God, practicing their vocation philosophy embodied in Deuteronomy 8:17-18, “You may say to yourself, ‘My power and the strength of my hands have produce this wealth for me.’ But remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth . . .”

Works of Advocacy

Africa Leadership & Reconciliation Ministries, Inc. works through indigenous leadership in eight countries across east and central Africa (Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda) to equip untrained civic and faith community leaders in transformational peace-building and reconciliation, and offers life-building vocational training and trauma therapy to women, youth and children in their schools and orphanages.

For over 30 years Gospel for Asia has delivered aid and hope to some of the most downtrodden people in Asia. Where the needs are great, the opportunities are even greater, especially among the socially-maligned, children and widow populations. Gospel for Asia directs 100% of donations to help these most vulnerable ones. Our resources target opportunities in Madhya Pradesh state in the heartland of India. It is home to a large tribal population which has been largely cut-off from mainstream development.

The work of EPM focuses on reaching the needy in the name of Christ and directing attention to those without hope, including, the unfed, unclothed, unsheltered and poor due to circumstance; the unborn, targeted for abortion and their mothers and the unreconciled, those of different races and cultures who are alienated, hostile, or suspicious of each other.  Our resources are directed toward the unborn by works of compassion toward their mothers.

Mercy Ministries Foundation (Christian Happy Homes) is an organization dedicated to caring for the orphans of Thailand and Cambodia like Jesus would so that they learn to do the same in their home tribes and families and in other places of great need where the opium trade has devastated families.  The opportunity to sponsor care of these children is a great privilege.
